I got fired yesterday. I have no money to my name, bills due and I am in a lease with an Apt. Complex. I was extremely sick over the holidays which had me in and out of the hospital. I had excused doctors notes and the account manager went against the handbook and tried to point me on it. I started getting sick around Nov. as well as my daughter. I tried to fight it after she tried to suspend me (btw I have never called out, been late or left early until I started getting sick, I even received a promotion). Well I was down at the headquarters and the account manager started lying on her behalf to save herself. I showed up with pic, phone records, emails (that she said she never sent), the handbook everything you could imagine even witnesses. The office wouldnt listen to anything I had to say and the account manager started to laugh and started asking if she had to be there because she had better things to do once I started showing she was lying. Point is, I lost my job, Im fighting for my justice and I also never received back pay from when I was promoted. Since Kentucky is a “fire at will state” I am kinda SOL. With a young daughter, bills, rent, everything you can imagine with no money or a job. I don’t know what to do with myself……….. I really liked my job :(
